SIP LIGHTer Strategic Innovation Program - 2020

With this the offer we want to initiate feasibility studies and research and innovation projects (FoI- project ) in cross-border collaboration. The projects will generate knowledge in the form of new solutions, new methods, new demonstrators and new skills in all areas where light weight is of interest. This will lead to increased sustainability and increased competitiveness in Swedish lightweight technology.

The offer in brief

What can you apply for?

FoI- project to develop new lightweight technology that meets industrial needs. The duration of the R&D projects may not exceed 3 years. Feasibility studies of max 1 year where the conditions for future, innovative FoI- project with high potential shall be evaluated and analyzed

Who can apply?

Consortia of companies, institutes, universities, colleges, public actors and other legal persons with activities in Sweden. All project must be based on concrete industrial needs, which is why at least two companies that own the need must join the consortium. Cross-sectoral project with involvement of SMEs is encouraged.

How much can you apply for?

The maximum grant level for the FoI project is 50 percent. For feasibility studies, grant of a maximum of SEK 800,000 can be applied for, up to a maximum of 80 percent of the eligible costs.

Important dates

  • What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
