Viktiga resultat som projektet gav

The overall aim in the research project is to develop a supportive production tool that: 1) automatically can predict human behaviour considering dynamic effects and analyse human work in manual work stations . 2) automatically can optimise workstations where humans are supported with exoskeletons or collaborative robots. 3) consider human diversity in terms of appearance, shape, clothes, and safety equipment used during work. 4) easily can be understood, used and manipulated as well as adapted to recent developments within immersive VR and digital twin solutions.

Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas

The project will result in algorithms for an automated software that can: - predict, visualize, and optimise human wellbeing. - increase the efficiency of the product and preparation process and advance the flexibility to make changes. - increase the efficiency of production by making workstations and products adapted to a diversity of operators. The project will further strengthen Swedish research by building competence and global publicity, supporting involved partners position as one of the leading actors in the area of applied ergonomics and applied digital human modelling.

Upplägg och genomförande

The project has been carried out in a close collaboration between academic partners and industrial partners. The research team consisted of three established research groups: 1) the Geometry and Motion Planning Group at Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre, 2) the members within User Centred Product Design at University of Skövde, and 3) department of Industrial and Materials Science, Chalmers. Industrial needs are stressed by the industrial partners and they are also verifying and testing the different deliveries from the different research groups. This ws done in an demonstrator (IPS).
