Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
The purpose of the ReSolve Innovation Competition (RIC) was to develop innovative sustainable solutions to address storm-water issues faced by Uppsala Municipality. Another goal was to increase the awareness of how a competition can be used as mediate and catalyze innovations that are sustainable, equitable and commercially viable.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
The RIC resulted in five proposed stormwater innovations for Uppsala Kommun. These innovations collectively acknowledge the needs and challenges of multiple stakeholders and address a number of goals underpinning a sustainable Uppsala. It is envisaged that findings from the RIC wil pave the way for new innovative approaches and methods to address challenges faced Uppsala Municipality. It will also serve as a lessons learned for similar kinds of projects that support a co-producation process between municipalities and universities to address complex and intractable challenges.
Upplägg och genomförande
The resolve innovation contest was coordinated by Uppsala Center for Sustainable development (CSD) in collaboration with Entrepreneurship lab, Uppsala Vatten and Uppsala Municipality. At the inception project a dialogue was initiated between Entrepreneurship lab, Uppsala Vatten and Uppsala municipalities regarding the design and plan of the innovation competition. The project has also been supported by other experts in water sector at the University and Municipality and when required from CSD and the Entrepreneurship lab.
