Viktiga resultat som projektet gav

SCOTT focused on “trustable things that communicate securely” including vehicles, and other things, which are interconnected via dependable wireless technology and are vigilant about safeguarding the end-users privacy. The project provided comprehensive, cost-efficient solutions for wireless, end-to-end secure, trustable connectivity. The focus has been on applications in intelligent, integrated mobility for road, rail and air, as well as building technology, smart homes and infrastructure, and even health.

Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas

* Fostering new cooperation within the consortium and beyond * Facilitating the worldwide uptake of “European Technology” and infrastructure for smart society * Establishing the EU as a centre of leading, trusted, user (citizen) friendly, secure, and reliable IoT ecosystems * Creating trust in wireless solutions and increasing their social acceptance to bring out the full potential of the Internet of Things for the benefit of Europe’s Industry, SMEs and Start-ups * Additional private investments by the for-profit companies * Building trust in the internet of things

Upplägg och genomförande

The project is designed on 15 industry-driven use cases from which dedicated demonstrators were produced. Details of the use cases can be found at https://scottproject.eu/home-3/industrial-use-cases/ and the demos on the SCOTT YouTube channel. All these results, amongst others, have been presented to and assessed with great success by the European Commission (represented through the ECSEL Joint Undertaking) during a final review meeting. Due to the ongoing situation, the event was online.
