TRAMI Missions Playbook – Stories from practice
Go directly to the reportMission-oriented innovation has become an increasingly common term in recent years. At the European level, the European Commission has launched five missions within Horisont Europa. I Sverige has Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency financed five program offices with associated missions within the Impact Innovation initiative.
It is always a challenge to take on new ways of working that require long-term planning, experimentation and coordination across borders. Learning from others and spreading knowledge and experiences is crucial to successfully establishing new ways of working.
A 'playbook' in a sports or business context describes winning strategies. TRAMI Missions Playbook aims to equip service professionals at all levels with practical lessons to develop winning strategies in designing and running 'missions'.
Unlike academic publications about the mission-oriented way of working, TRAMI Missions Playbook prioritizes stories from practice and reality. The examples presented in the book do not describe perfect implementations of missions. Instead, each chapter represents a puzzle piece in missions as a way of working. From the stories in the book, officials and other practitioners can adapt and put the pieces together for their specific context.
