Important results from the project

The project resulted in a first World of Wisdom event 11-16 August 2020. Due to the risk situation regarding COVID-19, only 40 people could physically gather on Gotland, and therefore the event was also conducted globally online on a self-developed platform. The event attracted 587 online participants from 44 countries. A total of 24 camps were established, which together organized more than 100 sessions/workshops. 96% of the participants stated that, as a result of the event, they felt significantly more committed to actively contributing to a better and more sustainable future.

Expected long term effects

- 96% stated that, as a result of the event, they feel significantly more committed to actively contributing to a better and more sustainable future. - 70% stated that they feel more hopeful about the future. - 87% stated that the event gave them a transformative experience and deeper self-insight. - 87% stated that the event gave them new ideas and perspectives. - 74 % stated that, as a result of the event, they experienced a significant positive change in their personal connection / knowledge about global challenges. - 97% stated that they refer to participate in more World of Wisdom events.

Approach and implementation

The implementation changed due to the current COVID-19 pandemic to focus primarily on online. For this purpose, a digital event platform was developed, which in turn attracted a larger and more international audience than expected with participants from 44 countries.
