Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose was to pave the way for an implementation project that will promote lifelong learning for employees and the supply of skills for companies primarily in the steel industries. As well as increasing interest in the industry in general and Bergsskolan as a place of learning specifically. A proposal has been submitted where during the preliminary study we monitored the world around us, interviewed, connected companies, municipalities and other organizations to us in order to be able to carry out the implementation project in the best way.

Expected long term effects

This study shows that the industry is behind many other industries in terms of gender equality. Diversified work groups and strengthened social capital are strongly linked to innovation and growth in companies. Why the industry is behind is taken further. Bergsskolan recruits students from mill towns, where many of the industrial companies have their seats and the study traditions are low. Increased understanding is needed here. A complex future requires a new type of education for long life learning in companies.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Interviews about the need for competence supply and competence development have been conducted with companies in the industry, trade unions, municipalities, educational organizations etc. This together with a literature study on what is going on and results from previous work. The preliminary study has also analyzed the results from the environmental monitoring and arrived at a plan for the implementation project.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
