Important results from the project
Largest number of participants since 1979, so very successful. www.wintersim.org has a open access publications (which are also in scopus, ACM and IEEE explore) and details as well as movies from the keynotes and other relevant information.
Expected long term effects
Very good visibility worldwide in the area, great attention from the city of Gothenburg, where they gave us the award for this year´s ambassadors for the city of Gothenburg for the WSC 2018 event.
Approach and implementation
15 years of involvement in the conference, 5 years of planning after the decision was made to host it in Gothenburg. The implementation was very carefully planned in advance. The conference was conducted on very good and very positive comments afterwards.
