Important results from the project
The project has served to develop a system able to conduct weld quality assurance of welded components in serial production. A working prototype has been developed in previous national research projects and since 2016, a group och entrepreneurs has conducted a se of activities with the purpose to develop a commercial product. These activities have been conducted in close collaboration with pilot customers and business incubators.
Expected long term effects
The project team has successfully developed a commercial product for conducting weld quality assurance of welded components. The system is now installed in several manufacturing facilities, not only in Sweden but also abroad. During the project the group have been awarded with several awards and scholarships such as Swedbank Rivstart and Åforsk Entrepreneurial Scholarship.
Approach and implementation
The project team has conducted a series of pilot projects together with potential customers to develop a commercial system based on the previous working prototype. The collaboration with pilot customers has been crucial for the success of the project. The team has developed a business plan with projections of future cost and revenues along with an IPR-strategy and a plan for future scale up.
