Purpose and goal
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim is to use digital twins to manage emergency and crisis situations in a safe and efficient way for the water industry´s decision makers, operations and customer service staff. The goal is to develop a future digital service that can be used as support in contingency planning before and in decision-making in the event of social disruptions such as the spread of pollution, interruptions, leaks or sabotage. The service must be adapted for a global market and position Sweden as forerunners.
Expected effects and result
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The expectation is that the water industry will be able to make data-driven decisions based on real-time data that is processed into information for decision-makers to use in crisis situations and for the optimization of existing infrastructure. An increased level of knowledge should contribute to faster implementation of other digital services, while safer and more efficient handling of drinking water can take place in a crisis. An increased Swedish export potential is created at the same time as Sweden positions itself as forerunners.
Planned approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Initially, there is a focus on end-user needs, as well as gathering legal and security frameworks that a digital twin must relate to. It is followed by an iterative technical development process in order to be able to early test parts of a new service in a real environment and thus identify challenges and obstacles before the development gets too far. A plan for market introduction and adaptation to business partners´ existing services is established and implemented in the second half of the project.
