Call | Educational collaboration and work-integrated learning - model and method development 2022 |
Purpose and goal
The aim is to transform existing courses in higher education to be fully or partially placed in working life. The project aims to increase students´ contact with working life during education by placing parts of courses in workplaces. The goal is to develop training plans for existing training courses (in at least one course) in technology and manufacturing where relevant parts are placed in a workplace and learning takes place in trainee form. This is done by translating courses and objective into such a context that special training parts can be placed in a workplace.
Expected effects and result
Synergy effects are formed through collaboration between The University of Skövde, Högskolan Väst and cooperating development organizations: by collaborating, we can test, validate and develop a model for AIL to be spread in a larger geographical area, create dissemination of results where more universities and companies can take part in the project achievements. The project can contribute to strengthening the industry´s skills supply and thus create conditions for long-term competitive advantages for companies and municipalities where they operate.
Planned approach and implementation
The project work will initially be led and implemented in a steering group consisting of representatives from academia and working life. Förutom Högskolan Väst, The University of Skövde and the business organizations Västsvenska Handelskammaren, IDC and IUC Västsverige are participating five companies that wish to increase their collaboration with academia. During the project period, the model must be tested within at least two different educations and at two different universities together with the companies and students.
