Important results from the project
The aim of the project is to verify a new type of UWB-radar for detecting vital life signs from subjects in the proximity of the sensor. The goals for this pre-study has been achieved.
Expected long term effects
A new type of sensor with low installation costs has been developed and veryvied. The concept show very good properties and will be the basis for product development and market introduction in the company. A new production method for UWB antennas has been developed in the project. The method will potentially give complex antenna structures at low cost.
Approach and implementation
A concept prototype has been developed in the project and the technology has been verified on 20 subjects were respiration and heart rate was successfully detected on all subject. A business model has been developed after a series of intervjus with person in the healt care sector. The business model is to provide sensors to national and international actors on the health care market on an OEM-basis.
