Important results from the project
The project´s goal (step 3) is to develop, evaluate and disseminate a product where performance and work environment conditions are integrated, made visible and valued. In step 1, a conceptual first requirements specification has been developed in two different sectors and environments. Through two pilot studies, concepts were developed and demonstrators were evaluated. Activities and dialogues confirm that the solution involves a more dynamic and useful approach when it comes to a holistic perspective on the business´s sustainability, for current and future situation.
Expected long term effects
The outcome of step 1 is in line with the targets. Based on newly gained ideas, effect logic has been updated, potential project partners, reference group and potential test pilots have been identified, a draft business model is available. The surrounding world analysis shows a gap that can be bridged and a demonstrator has been developed. End users feel that the innovation - provides an integrated picture of the business and its performance - can create benefit in the operations - based on cross-functional collaboration - can be designed for different decision levels and time horizons
Approach and implementation
Needs and opportunities have been identified based on various activities with end users in industry and healthcare that form the basis for the requirements specification and demonstrator. The activities consisted of overall identification of problems and positive conditions, their cause and consequence as well as process surveys of selected flows combined with identification and evaluation of relevant business aspects. Existing international methods in the field have been identified and evaluated.
