Important results from the project

Visual Vulva is a tool to give girls the right to knowledge about their own bodies. The aim of the project has been to develop a functional tool from an existing prototype. The most common question midwives get from Swedish girls are "do I look normal". To counteract ignorance and mental unwellness, Visual Vulva shows various examples of the exterior of the vulva and an example of what the inside of a body with uterus can look like. The tool is designed for women and men of all ages to get a more nuanced picture of how vulvas can look and how the different parts functions.

Expected long term effects

Through the project we have taken our prototype and made it a functional tool that can be used by end customers. We have improved the user-friendliness and developed a user manual. The project has helped us to investigate our intended primary target group and through this strategic work we have changed primary target group.

Approach and implementation

Our intended implementation was changed during the course of the project, as we determined through our strategic project work that we needed to change the primary target group. We are very pleased that we through this project have been able to come up with this important analysis of the target market for us, and will bring with us the experiences gained in the continued work on the tool.
