Important results from the project
The project aims to enable Bris to be able to help more children and to respond more effectively to the increased demand that has arisen in the crisis. With this pre-study, the aim was to investigate possibilities for how this can be implemented and to analyse what would be required to enable implementation. Everything in this pre-study has been guided by the overall goals of the project. The objectives of the pre-study were to develop a simplified FAQ-bot and to develop proposals for what should be implemented to meet the overall goals of the project. These objectives have been achieved.
Expected long term effects
During these two initial phases of the project, a simplified FAQ chatbot has been implemented and published on Bris´s website and a investigative, and analysis work has been carried out that resulted in a number of different functions that the virtual assistant may have. Several different solutions for these functions have been developed and analyzed weighted based on who can do the most good for children in relation to how resource-intensive their development would be, to facilitate decisions around future implementation.
Approach and implementation
Several actors have been involved in the pre-study. The project was led by a project manager from Bris with support from the consulting company Governo. The project group consisted of one representative from Microsoft, two representatives from Bris IT-supplier Iver, two more representatives from Bris and one person who previously worked as a volunteer for Bris. Several counselors and other representatives from Bris were also involved in the work. A questionnaire was sent out to children to examine their needs and wishes for a virtual assistant.
