Purpose and goal

Through supplementary work packages, the project shall support that ideas and knowledge assets are identified, evaluated and verified in order to benefit society through, for example, commercialization via new spin-off companies, licensing, social innovations, etc. A major focus will be on deeptech ideas. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to increased commercialization and utilization of knowledge assets, research results and ideas from university target groups.

Expected effects and result

The focus will be on sharpening existing processed methods to increase the flow through the Innovation Office´s processes so that more project are transferred to other subsequent actors. We will also focus on continuing to further develop our processes and work methodology for project that can be classified as deeptech. An increased focus will be on earlier trying to identify and support deeptech project already in the research stage so that the conditions for commercialization remain.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented via four work packages in close collaboration with our collaboration partners in the academic innovation support system. The four work packages are: Verification for increased exploitation, student entrepreneurship, identification and early support for deeptech (VFT-deeptech) and verification for increased exploitation and commercialization of deeptech (VFT-deeptech).
