Important results from the project
LiU Innovation supports researchers and student who want to make an impact in society, for example by commercialisation. We typical help the researchers and students to develop plans for verifying the ideas. Verified ideas do sometimes result in the formation new companies, which will contribute to the economical development in Sweden.
Expected long term effects
67 new projects have been initiated during 2017, which resulted in 19 new companies. 10 such companies have achieved substantial revenues or attracted external funding.
Approach and implementation
We are working with a structured process to identify and develop ideas. This process has so far mainly been used for ideas with technical content or relating to life science, but we have now started to adapt this process for projects from the Arts.
