Important results from the project
The project achieved its goal of supporting 5–8 verification projects; 6 projects were completed. National outreach, particularly outside the Stockholm region, increased awareness of Testa Center. The project established Testa Center as key infrastructure for biologics production and enhanced the competence and competitiveness of Swedish SMEs
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to shorten the time from research to market and strengthen Swedish SMEs’ growth and investment potential. Testa Center builds a long-term competence base for biologics production, positioning Sweden as a leading nation in biologics, thereby enhancing its international competitiveness
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out as planned, providing verification support for SMEs and academic projects. Outreach tours increased Testa Center’s visibility and attracted more projects. The collaboration between STUNS and Testa Center worked well. The project was extended several times due to the pandemic and long lead times for consumables. Despite this, clear processes for selection and implementation were established, laying the groundwork for future systemic impact.
