Important results from the project

Vaccination is a global issue of increasing importance. Vaccinations are administered in accordance with schedules which vary per country. These vaccination coordination problems are in focus for the VacSam project. The functional result will be a digital service for vaccination schedules according to Swedish standards, independent of the country or countries where previous vaccinations have been given. Swedish physicians have currently difficulties in giving individuals the correct vaccinations due to lack of information and coordination.

Expected long term effects

The results will be: a functional service for vaccination coordination a rule-based development method for an e-service in an interorganisational perspective a evaluation of the above described development method at least two research articles basic data for a doctoral dissertion in the subject of integrated modelling av business processes and business rules.

Approach and implementation

The project plan covers three years, of which two years are allocated for the development of the service and one year for evaluation result presentations of the service. The functional result will be a digital service for vaccination schedules according to Swedish standards, independent of the country or countries where previous vaccinations have been given. The outcomes of the project will be a working digital service for vaccination coordination and an evaluation of the development methodology for inter-organisational development.
