Important results from the project

The purpose has been to develop Swerea IVF and IUC Dalarna in our role as intermediary players to bring out research findings on the ISBD method. This goal has been met well. Another purpose has been to disseminate information about the method, which we made through articles in popular journals.

Expected long term effects

One effect is that the method of introducing SBI has spread to more actors with an intermediate role and to firms that can use the method in their business. Another effect is that companies that use the method have continued and run the projects that are started with the method with product realization as the objective.

Approach and implementation

The project team has had relevant partners and has had the knowledge and resources needed. Set goals have been realistic. The ambition to spread knowledge to more actors of intermediate nature and firm’s means that many actors will to be involved, and this requires coordination, even from those that are the target group of the dissemination. This has been difficult. For this reason, we requested the extension of the project to include more recipients of the results. The idea of having calls focused on spreading published knowledge is good and has filled a gap that sometimes exists.
