Purpose and goal

The goal is to build a platform based on standardized data for increased use of health data for innovation and development. By making data available for decision support, research and development, future care and preventive efforts can be improved. Simplified development of innovations helps meet the future challenges of healthcare through the storage and sharing of standardized health data for primary and secondary users, including academia, industry, other regions and national data use.

Expected effects and result

We intend to - Create an innovation, development and research environment with health data based on open international standards - Show a spectrum of benefits that can be created, from primary use to research, including tailor-made solutions and small-scale, innovative development companies, right up to sharp operation - Create good examples that pave the way for other actors - Show that it is possible to go far within existing regulations - Make it possible to reach objectives at European, national and regional level, which cannot be solved in today´s healthcare information system

Planned approach and implementation

The project is carried out in 6 work packages, where 1 and 6 run over the entire project period, while 2-5 are carried out in phases with the approximate start of one sub-project every six months: 1. Establish the foundation, establish health data platform and research database 2. Taming a wild system in national highly specialized care 3. Create quality register echocardiography 4. Sharing health data for research and business (AI application for lung disease prediction) 5. Reduce lead times and administration within breast cancer care 6. Project management and coordination
