Important results from the project
The aims of the project are, through the analysis of infrastructure support, to identify challenges and opportunities of the widespread integration of dedicated infrastructure for autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs). With extensive analysis, discussion within the consortium and with external stakeholders, as well as the close observation of the state-of-the-art, the project publishes report with detailed analysis results to motivate the dedicated infrastructure for AEVs and identifies further research challenges.
Expected long term effects
As a final result, the project proposed a future mobility concept NuMo and presents the concept in a report with detailed description of design principles, capacity analysis, control methods, integration paths, construction and environmental impacts. The report is published together with film illustrations of the NuMo concept and will be presented in different events. The concept has also gained awareness of industries and the city for potential further exploitation and is expected to be explored in new research and demonstration projects.
Approach and implementation
The results are achieved through frequent discussions with attendees from external actors and close observation of the state of the art. Bi-weekly remote/physical meetings have been organized to update the statuses, and four physical workshops, among which one in London, were organized with invitation of external partners including Volvo cars, AB volvo, technolution, Loendersloot Groep, and Chalmers university. The discussion has led to the proposal of a future mobility concept NuMo-New Urban Mobility, and its awareness among different stakeholders.
