Status Ongoing
Venture Strategic Innovation Programme on Lightweight

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to promote innovation in lightweight materials through a clear strategy, the Lightweight Agenda. The agenda, based on needs from industry and research, aims to be a guide for future decisions and to spread knowledge about the benefits of lightweight. The goal is to drive sustainable development, strengthen collaborations and increase understanding. The agenda is updated every three years and the current version was published in 2022, with the next update 2025.

Expected effects and result

Expected results of the project are that the Lightweight Agenda will serve as a strategy and guide for future decisions, as well as influence policy decisions that support lightweight technologies. The agenda will also spread knowledge about the advantages of these technologies, drive innovation and sustainable development within the industry, as well as strengthen collaborations and expand the network in the area.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is carried out in several phases to update the research agenda. The work begins by defining methodology, gathering previous research and forming a working group that selects themes and decides on format. During the collection, surveys and a literature review are carried out. The group analyzes the material and compiles a first draft, which is sent on referral to the board of directors for feedback. When the agenda is approved, communication materials are produced and distributed.
