Important results from the project
The project´s purpose - to contribute to a sustainable Brazilian growth through exploitation of society´s waste streams, such as waste water and waste from the paper industry, have been met by the project objective - to identify the Swedish and Brazilian cooperation partners - have been achieved and a dialogue on cooperation has been initiated with several parties.
Expected long term effects
The outcome of the two trips JTI and Innventia made to Brazil has produced the results that were desirable with the great interest shown for both the ´Swedish model for university-research-business collaboration´ and of the technical standard the Swedish Institutes could show. To assess the effect need words to action, and this is expected in spring 2014.
Approach and implementation
The project´s approach - that through meetings and workshops during two trips present Swedish environmental technology and build contacts to find partners - have been very successful. Travelling twice to deepen the relationship with partners is recommended. More time for preparation for the trips were needed than expected, and therefore there was a redistribution so that the budgets travel costs were moved to working hours.
