Important results from the project

TrusTrace web-application has so far enabled large number of brands, suppliers to effectively track 20,000+ products and communicate the product sustainability information to its customers. In addition, the platform is being actively pursued by “Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action” to help its members understand the impact of their operations (direct / indirect) on the environment and the society. Our consumer facing mobile app enables customers to make informed choices based on the origin of products, raw materials used and the sustainability footprint of the product

Expected long term effects

By enabling brands, supplier, retailers, consumers share traceability information our platform has made the cost of establishing traceability in supply chians extermely low. This combined with our extremly simplified and varied data collection techniques has made the possibility of data collection from large number of suppliers a reality. This has enabled various buying teams make purchase decisions based on just not pricing but also the sustainability aspects, and work with the ecosystem to improve the same, bringing about a significant change at business and consumer level

Approach and implementation

Based on learnings from PILOT in Sweden and India, we are rolling out the solution to 20+ countries. We had built 7 business specific modules that use traceability as the core and drive KPIs on sustainability and business. We have also enabled integrations with various system of records ERP, PLM, PIM systems to make the data sharing simple. In addition to expanding to Germany, France, Portugal, Italy and key south asian countries, we have also initiated PILOTs in the US. We have also strengthened our collaboration with academia like Boras University, MIT Sloan to further our development
