Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The main goal for TRUST-E was to provide increased reliability by monitoring the functionality and health of electronic systems. This has been accomplished through the development of robust multi-sensor modality localization technology on a demonstrator vehicle, comprehensive and reliable monitoring and maintenance solutions, real-time power electronics remaining life estimation technology, and a hardware-in-the-loop evaluation platform for real-time, autonomous systems navigation and system reliability measures.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s content and results became increasingly important during the course of the project, which reflects a good adaptation to market needs, especially in the automotive industry. The results are admittedly just the beginning, but within a few years could become the industry standard for safety-critical systems which could save money compared to the current method of having excessively large safety margins, while increasing safety by introducing self-awareness into the components and systems.

Approach and implementation

Regular meetings and systematic communication led to a well-organized implementation. The working climate and cooperation between the parties was very good and the results from the work packages complemented each other well. The management and synchronization between the partners, both at national and European level, was good. Despite the impact of Covid-19 on the early phases of the project, the objectives were achieved through online meetings and adaptable strategies. The structure made it possible for all partners to effectively contribute with their respective expertise.
