Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s main goal was to investigate technical and business-related prerequisites for a tight integration between vehicle and cloud architecture to create a cohesive platform. The aim was, in addition to a more capable modern vehicle platform, also to establish an ecosystem around the vehicle as a platform where the vehicle manufacturer as well as third-party developers can develop transport services with vehicle integration. Med TrAF-Cloud-arkitekturen must be able to roll out such services with short lead times.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s main results include reporting strategies for establishing an ecosystem of developers around a connected vehicle platform. The results also include documentation of a reference architecture for such a platform as well as demonstrators of key technologies in the reference architecture. In addition to this, a number of newly stratified industry initiatives have been identified and described. It is expected that the project results can help the vehicle manufacturer in taking the next step towards a connected vehicle platform.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** For the business aspects, the approach was to start from other sectors (such as the mobile phone market) and through woprkshops analyze applicable strategies for the automotive sector. For the technical aspects, the approach was to apply existing cloud technologies and best-practices to create a platform for seamless integration with existing vehicle technologies. Demonstrators for key technologies were developed for validation.
