Important results from the project
The purpose with our project was to develop a software that allow companies without special legal knowledge to live up to important parts of the GDPR legislation. The software will allow users to inform their audience about data processing and to collect consent for personal data processing in accordance with GDPR. Our solution leads to a more transparent digital society where we can utilize both the individual´s rights to his data but also the company´s interest. The goal was to produce a functional software that can be commercialised. This goal was achieved.
Expected long term effects
We expected: - Develop a solution that addresses an important need for GDPR compliance. We have succeeded. - That the software would lead to an important building block in our continued innovation work: Fulfilled. Consent management that we have developed is fundamental to handling personal data, as all our software does. - We expected that the project would eventually lead to revenue and this has already been done in the form of a large number of paying customers. - We also wanted to make the software available as a standalone product for lower price. Expected to be completed in 6 months.
Approach and implementation
Instead of building many different integrations against different systems, we were interested in the Zapier integration bridge, which would enable us to open up our system to a large number of systems. Through the project we developed a working Zapier integration. This took more time initially and some parts of the consent documentation remain to be implemented in the coupling but the outcome becomes much higher when it is completed. We have had good cooperation with our reference customers who contributed with wishes and feedback during the project.
