The project objectives have been met to a great extent and can be used for the company´s continued basic work on building and expanding networks and collaborations in the cyber field.

Expected long term effects

Secana is coordinator of a Vinnova-funded project with a link to digital security and provided a good opportunity to create added value for the project. The visit opened several doors for deeper collaboration with Israeli industry and academia. The openness of the discussions with our contacts was striking and we noted a great willingness from companies, academia, private and government organizations to initiate or deepen their cooperation with Sweden.

Approach and implementation

In the cyber field, the close cooperation between the military and civilian Israeli society has achieved great success, both in terms of security and economically. A similar exchange in the ecosystem of academia, total defense authorities and private companies could form the basis for a unified national thinking within Swedish political governance. In addition, a working group in the AI area could find out the forms of a more developed AI strategy that would also aim at developed contacts with Israel in R&D and innovation.
