Important results from the project

The trip to Brazil has given Enablers the opportunity to deepen the dialogue with partners both in academia and the health authorities. Work on applying for funding for a joint development project has already been initiated and a dialogue regarding the evaluation of Enabler´s current system in a Brazilian context ongoing. In addition to this, the trip has given Enablers a good overview of ongoing initiatives in digitalization and health data in Brazil.

Expected long term effects

In the longer term, Enaiblers expects to work closely with partners in Brazil to further develop its technology to the specific needs of the region. It can be both in disease monitoring and in health care. Brazil is an interesting market with a relatively strong economy, large distances and differences in access to diagnostics and healthcare, where Enabler´s technology is a cost-effective alternative for better equality between the country´s different regions and population groups.

Approach and implementation

The trip followed the schedule well and the prioritization between the various events felt right to us. We chose to conduct visits to existing partners and a conference in the parasite field in the days before matchmaking and workshops.
