Important results from the project
This project will study how radio frequency identification technique (RFID) could be used to trace and achieve traceability in granular bulk products, exemplified på iron ore pellets.
Expected long term effects
The expected results of the project is that sufficient traceability to couple customer experiences of a granular product to process settings. inspite of that the project has passed a distribution chain consisting of several stores, ways of transportation and store sizes.
Approach and implementation
The project includes: Design and test of antennas suitable for conveyor use: Design and manufacture of RFID transponders with density and shape similar to pellets: Traceability studies of the silos: Traceability studies of the distribution chain from plant to boat: and Pressure, acceleration and temperature studies of the distribution chain using sensor enhanced transponders.
