Important results from the project
By starting from the municipalities´ needs and value-creating activities, the overall aim of the project has been achieved. The aim was to create learning and capacity for small and medium-sized municipalities to be part of the green social transition. With regard to the overall objective, which was to contribute to a cohesive Sweden where everyone is a part of and contributes to a green social transition, the assessment is that the project has to some extent achieved the overall objective.
Expected long term effects
At the end of the project period, four out of six of the participating municipalities have found concrete areas that they want to work on further. By focusing on their needs and value-creating activities, the project has achieved the short-term project goals and started a number of exciting development processes in the participating municipalities. A great deal of commitment has been created around AI in the welfare sector as well as local collaboration hubs where some municipalities are moving forward with concrete development projects.
Approach and implementation
The project period can be divided into two phases. 1, until the summer of 2023, was a start-up and analysis period where the aim was to identify common needs and create inspiration and learning for the participating municipalities. 2 has focused on the HOW on the municipalities´ needs and wishes. One challenge is that it is difficult for smaller municipalities to release resources to incorporate development into their regular activities. There is often no room for more than the ordinary business. The participants have, despite this, rated the project´s purpose and goal follow-up highly.
