Important results from the project

Purpose and goals. With new technology, more effective ways are created to prevent water damage to building materials in properties and to meet the requirements set by the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning. Completed: Our external market analysis assures us that customers have a need for water alarm tags and that customers are prepared to pay more than our previous target prices. The analysis shows that 48 % of respondents were willing to pay between USD 10-50 per system containing 5 water alarm tags and 1 central unit, 37 % would consider paying USD 50-150/system.

Expected long term effects

Results and expected effects - outcome * Based on the feasibility study, we have proposed two different system solutions: Option 1. Active water alarm tags with hub/central unit Option 2. Passive water alarm tags with hub/reader Both proposals consider the project group to be relevant to the upcoming Research and Innovation project. We plan to proceed with these proposals in the upcoming Research and Innovation project, with the note that we only intend to proceed with the first option and the second option is only a possible reserve plan.

Approach and implementation

Design and implementation - analysis * Project plan: The completed activities are now mapped and form the basis for future product development as well as a subsequent Research and Innovation project (R&I project). The activities are based on increasing Tollco’s knowledge of the feasibility as well as the potential for the desired solution. To achieve the overall goals of the upcoming Research and Innovation project, new and more targeted activities will be mapped.
