Important results from the project
The Shift has succeeded in creating a joint effort to bring about a systemic shift in community building, we move from a linear resource extraction with refinement to a resource-efficient and value-creating system with large elements of circularity and reuse To create attractive and accessible living environments, we have joined forces with the Access Sweden initiative. Together we have formed a broad stakeholder collaboration of existing and new actors, designed a bold and challenging mission and laid the foundation for a long-term implementation of an Impact Innovation programme
Expected long term effects
The Shift addresses the challenges of well-functioning and attractive communities, as well as production, consumption and value chains within the boundaries of the planet by renewing the view of the actor system in community building. The shift in systems and processes will lead to lower climate impact, increased green financing, increased international competitiveness and jobs, as well as attractive living environments and increased quality in our built environment.
Approach and implementation
The work has been based on openness and participation between all actors who want to contribute. The project has been conducted in 6 work pack. to gather current initiatives, create an international strategy, mobilise actors, design bold goals, and shape structures for a future innovation programme. We have managed to engage cross-sectoral expertise and drivers in transformative digitalisation, value-driven finance and change management. We have organised several meetings, workshops and seminars and managed to engage more than 100 actors who also want to be involved in the future.
