The possibilities to get regional funding have been examined with the objective to keep up the level of work when the national funding is starting to decrease.
Approach and implementation
There is to be a balance between national coordination and the regional operation. This is important in order to accomplish both a national standard with a guaranteed quality level and methodology development for the entire country to gain from, and a regional proximity and a driving force to develop the regional industry. The Production Lift will work within three areas. Initially information dissemination is done to create awareness for the companies about the need to develop their businesses, for example through seminars. As a second step advanced education, Lean Production 7,5 ECU, is offered to change agents at the target companies to give them a deeper competence. The third step is coaching of individual companies. The coaching is done following a within the Production Lift standardized methodology, which at the same time is adopted to the company´s conditions and needs. The central part of the methodology is the initiation of a practical and long-term improvement work by the companies, attained through coaching in an initial phase.
