Important results from the project
The project has strengthened the ability of Sweden´s innovation promoters to identify, attract and support social innovators. The project´s overall goal has been to provide knowledge, raise awareness, as well as develop, test and disseminate practical tools to support social innovators. All activities and goals are met. For dissemination and anchoring of the accumulated experience, the platform and toolbox are available with good opportunities to further develop, spread and use on a national/international level.
Expected long term effects
The participation in the completed activities and the launch of the toolbox show that the project has strengthened the ability of innovation promoters to identify, attract, and support SI. The expected results/effects: 1) Increased knowledge and understanding of SI, SB, 2) Developed, tested, implemented tools for SI promotion, 3) Increased number of SIs among innovation promoters, 4) Spread knowledge and tools on social innovation promotion - have mainly been achieved/are expected to be achieved. Evaluation has taken place on an ongoing basis and through a survey.
Approach and implementation
The project has been managed according to the plan which has focused on tool development, exchange of experience, and the provision of knowledge. Through an anchored needs analysis, an established project group with ownership, a norm-critical, challenge-driven approach and coaching, activities and the establishment of the project´s purpose have been established and implemented. Communication has taken place and has reached a wide audience. One challenge, that the project partners sometimes had difficulty prioritizing participation when other activities required a lot.
