Call Shape the sustainable solutions of the future within the mobility or food system

Purpose and goal

Objective - To communicate and debate the issues surrounding food systems by create a compelling and engaging experience for users with a focus on secure access to safe food. Purpose - By using speculative design investigate and visualize a potential future where the food system is an integral part of a circular economy where applicable standards and actors can both pose threats and opportunities. Ecological, economic and social values can reinforced with circular, robust and resilient food systems.

Expected effects and result

By, using speculative design, exploring and visualizing a vision of the future where it is a civic duty to work with the city´s farms for a year, the project aims to inspire action and collaboration to create a more sustainable and circular future for food systems on local, regional, national and international level.

Planned approach and implementation

The future prototype will be both developed and tested according to the innovation framework within Visual Arena which ensures a design process based on best practices. The plan for the project is to make two iterations but depending on the outcome it can be extended. The project is driven by a core group consisting of the parties. At certain points, the group is broadened to also include a reference group consisting of participants in adjacent projects. There is also a stakeholder group which is mainly used to capture a broader perspective and for testing the prototype.
