Important results from the project
The project synthesized important themes in the climate transition, to be used as basis for continued work within the Klimatagenda initiative and within the Samverkansprogrammet and other processes.
Expected long term effects
The project resulted in presentations and workshops with relevant parties as well as publication of texts, including Klimatagenda för Sverige (Material Economics 2021). The report shows that we need new strategies for the climate transition. It presents a scenario to 2045 that combines net-zero emissions with global climate benefits and strengthened Swedish competitiveness. It also discusses areas that need to be addressed in the early 2020s. The insights are spread and further developed through Klimatagendans activities within communication and policy analysis, among others.
Approach and implementation
During the project, a large number of parties have been involved and quantifications of important issues for the transition have been carried out. The system analyzes and the fact base were developed and used, among other things, in collaboration with actors within the framework of Samverkansprogrammet. Several presentations and workshops have been arranged and texts have been published publicly. Including the report Material Economics (2021) - Klimatagenda för Sverige.
