Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project was to develop a proposal for a park with a design that is universal. The goal is to create an inclusive park that everyone can use through an inclusive process in which citizens of different ages, genders, backgrounds and disabilities have participated. Particular focus has been on the disability aspect. The goal has also been to find solutions that can be used in other contexts and to spread the results within and outside one´s own organization through a brochure and a film.
Expected long term effects
The result is a park with a design that will appeal to a broad target group where everyone can participate in most of the activities in the park based on their conditions. The process has been inclusive and a working group with broad representation has participated in the development of the proposal, from analysis to idea. The working group and the officials involved in the project have received greater insight into each other´s needs and find solutions that can be used in similar project. The project has resulted in a brochure and a film which is published on the municipality´s website.
Approach and implementation
A dialogue has been going on throughout the project from analysis to proposals. The dialogue has taken place with a working group with broad representation with a special focus on disability. Meetings have been digital due to corona virus or out on site. Landscape architect consultants were involved early to have the opportunity to find good solutions toghether with the working group. Participants from all parts believe that their awareness and knowledge has increased with the project. Botkyrka municipality is satisfied with the proposal and will continue to work based on it.
