Coordinator Trelleborgs kommun - Socialförvaltningen
Funding from Vinnova SEK 290 000
Project duration December 2016 - March 2017
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The project Verklighetslabb Borgen has in a preliminary study elucidated the possibilities for developing working methods in ordinary housing and to introduce more welfare technology to improve the efficiency of efforts that meet the needs of individuals. The project´s goal has been to investigate the prerequisites for starting a reality lab as part of its regular activities as well as illustrating what other success factors are required to carry out changes in the business

Expected long term effects

The project has mapped and analyzed operations in order to identify opportunities for improvement that exist at different levels in the business. Opportunities have since been investigated to more easily identify which methods were best suited to reduce these shortcomings. This has led to increased insight into the importance of working with follow-up activities in order to more clearly motivate investments in technology and additional personnel that can support the business of introducing welfare technology and new working methods.

Approach and implementation

The project has been characterized by cross-border internal dialogue and exchange of experiences with other stakeholders. The center of gravity was added to the mapping of operations and to identify opportunities and shortcomings of what a reality should bring. Several profitable improvements were identified, although it was decided not to make a new application to Vinnova because there are currently no resources, time or budget to enter a new project of that extent.
