Important results from the project
The goal of this phase was to define the concept and produce prototype drawings/sketches and specifications for the Articulated Funiculator. During the last year we have been putting working scaled models together and from the result produced prototype drawings. With this result we have been able to establish future collaboration with universities and some of the biggest companies and organisation within the elevator industry.
Expected long term effects
The main target for the next phase will be to use the prototype drawings and models to show the potential and the concept of the system. As a result we will continue the collaboration with the companies and universities we have established to further develop the system into a full scale model.
Approach and implementation
We have been using case study projects (deep subway stations and future super tall buildings) to lay the outline for the system and this has resulted in a list of inputs which has been used for the design of our models and drawings. The working/moving scale models is the result and shows the different parts for the system. A description of the system can be found in Bilaga 1.
