Important results from the project
The overall targets of creating a platform for digitalisation, fossil-free technology, as well as optimization of resource utilization and work planning for outdoor environments have been achieved. This has taken place via, among other things, solutions with electric machines, sensors and telematics solutions for connected equipment, as well as development work connected to a common IoT platform via FIWARE. Dissemination of results has been ensured via extensive communication measures, and the result targets around biodiversity and user experience have also been achieved.
Expected long term effects
- The time consumption has decreased by an average of approximately 20-30%. The potential is greater, but needs further development of organization and application to be realized. - The need for transport has decreased 20-30% due to reduced visit frequencies, but could be developed into more. - Two comprehensive solutions for fossil-free operation of green areas, as well as electrified machines have been developed (a park and sports facilities respectively) - The results have been noticed by a large number of other municipalities, and a wide spread of the solutions is expected
Approach and implementation
The test bed was built according to plan, where different test environments were provided by the city of Gothenburg. Stakeholders have shown interest via a web form, alternatively via phone or email. The project has had contact with approximately 40 different stakehold, which has led to over ten major test and demo projects, as well as a number of studies and collaborations. The project has been communicated via 29 articles in external media, six news publications on the project website, two major newsletters, a film, a breakfast seminar, and final conference.
