Testbed GLAVA, Glava Energy Center

Important results from the project

Today´s testing and laboratory environment at Glava Energy Center upgraded to ´Testbed GLAVA´, an open test bed for innovative technologies in the energy and environmental sector for Swedish, Nordic and global players. This upgrade will be implemented in a execution project. Initiatially pilot study is now performed. The result is a feasibel development projectplan for increased availability of the test bed. Objective: On January 1, 2014 is the Testbed GLAVA, an open test bed for innovative technologies in the energy and environmental sector for Swedish, Nordic and global players.

Expected long term effects

The Testbed upgrade will result in: Clear and thorough organization and processses established to meet new needs, using forms and actors. Developed and supporting business model to drive the testbed business commercially, nationally and internationally. Increased availability in the test bed, i e the 2013 test and laboratory base is supplemented with appropriate expertise, equipment, and other key resources. Excellent handling of the relevant regulations, standards and property rights (IPR) in a professional and proper manner in a local and global perspective.

Approach and implementation

The Prestudy outcome is: 1. A development plan forth testbed operation where existing testing and laboratory environment will be supplemented with appropriate expertise, equipment, and other key resources. 2. A development of a supporting business model that enabels the testbed operation on commercial basis. An open testbed will be built in Cooperation with SP,Borås and a National Cluster organisation in order to drive and constantly develop the National test bed arena. The upgrade and enhanced ´Testbed Glava´ is to be established in the execution phase of the National project.
