Project duration December 2023 - December 2026
Status Ongoing

Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** To meet a great need for digitalisation of the airspace and create a sustainable transport capability, project Tb Air Mobility will create a digital infrastructure to enable autonomous flight of UAVs. The project will establish an open test bed for research, development as well as test and demo for autonomous flight and is based on the previous project Tb Autonom Flygplats. The test bed will be integrated against the ATM system and use the latest technology for the identification and positioning of UAVs and relate to U-space Drone Strategy 2.0.

Expected effects and result

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project will create an open test bed for external use, eg SMEs, academia and authorities. The test bed is digital, cloud-based and the services will be accessed via portal. The project will also create infrastructure for integration of ATM and U-space by developing a new functionality for the ATM system. The physical UAVs will use the latest 5G technology for identification and positioning. Furthermore studies in regulations and safety will be carried out and close work with the Transportstyrelsen will take place for the development of regulations.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Saab, Ericsson, RISE, Linköpings Universitet, the Swedeish Civil Aviation Authority, ACR and Swedavia will participate in the project. Each party will participate with its knowledge, experience as well as models, tools and systems. The infrastructure created in Tb Autonom Flygplats will be built on by the parties through developed functionality and interfaces between the various systems. The parties will work both separately in their respective systems and environments as well as together in WS, tests and demo flights with a common interface.
