Important results from the project

This project’s findings indicate that the process that is intended to link innovators and municipal businesses and enable development of future services should not make up a side business. A prototype tool for analyzing data about the society has been developed in this project, and thereby the understanding of the preconditions has been strengthened. The activities in the project have helped to pave the way going forward towards an implementation, which lays a good foundation for being able to achieve the overall aim of strengthening the society´s sustainable development.

Expected long term effects

This project has gathered insights on how to achieve maximum effect on society´s sustainable development and innovation readiness. Instead of building an isolated process, organizational units should be created to, among other things, implement the innovation process that has been developed in this project, ramp up data-driven decision-making and build links between the public sector and citizens. The entire community should be viewed as a test bed. These insights are crucial to begin and above all succeed with the next steps for the work that lies ahead.

Approach and implementation

This project began with an exploratory phase in which a bunch of perspectives were gathered to assure that the project had the right course. Utilizing data about the society was highlighted as a key to success. A prototype phase followed, which provided knowledge of this key to success. The project was wrapped up with another exploratory phase, including study trips to forerunners, in order to gain more perspectives on how to best continue the work. This procedure ensured the intended results was achieved. It also laid a base for being able to acheive the overall objective.
