Purpose and goal

Advance TERASi´s technology and business offering from component supplier to system supplier (TRL 4-6) and move into pre-series production. Through a 4-stage project, TERASi will collaborate with potential customers and suppliers to develop, test, and validate a scalable design for their first E-band radio prototype. This includes validating the business model transformation and establishing necessary partnerships for commercial success.

Expected effects and result

Prove the technical performance and product-market fit of TERASi´s own radio products within the communication market. TERASi aims to transform from a component supplier to a system supplier of compact E-band radio units that are signficantly smaller and lighter than existing solutions. This stage of the project will validate customer requirement & technical specifications.

Planned approach and implementation

The project involves developing and validating E-band radio modules through customer engagement over 6 months (Nov 2024-May 2025). Key activities include: defining product positioning, identifying 5+ network operators as potential customers, creating 3D CAD models, reviewing regulations, preparing documentation, conducting customer interviews, establishing KPIs, and analyzing implications of transitioning from component to system supplier. Budget is allocated across 9 specific activities.
