Important results from the project
MediTuner AB has developed AsthmaTuner, a patented tool that enables digital self-care of asthma. AsthmaTuner also improves communication between patient and healthcare, as treatment advice can be sent directly to the mobile phone. The current Swedish study and a planned European study are expected to show significant health economics potential for care with the tool. The main goal of the project was to ensure the completion of AsthmaTuner as a functional stand-alone application for end users, using a technical project manager.
Expected long term effects
The objectives that have been met with the technical project manager´s expertise include a range of technical areas for both the patient’s smartphone application and the web interface for healthcare professionals. This includes the completion of a number of patient safety aspects such as secure login, database storage structure and permissions.
Approach and implementation
Project leader has acted as a contact person against development partners and suppliers.
