Important results from the project
The purpose of the preliminary study was to investigate the conditions for making the innovative "sleeping modules" in our coliving housing solution available to people with disabilities. We have looked at regulations, obstacles and how other actors have approached these type of questions. The goals are met: - Increased knowledge about prerequisites, regulations. - Inspiration/good examples. - Identifying experts. - A comprehensive project plan. - Identified and requested a project team. We also offer solutions for available sleeping modules.
Expected long term effects
We have a solution to an available sleeping module of 14.5 square meters. We have also found a solution with four pods where three are more surface efficient and one available where the cut for all pods is as low as 10.5 sqm per person. If we take the four pods in the modular solution and terminate as one apartment and not as four, we meet all the requirements of the regulations. Features, such as disabled facilities, are available in common areas. The cost of this variant is 900,000 SEK.
Approach and implementation
We have collaborated with our partners and have gone through different phases to reach a solution. We have collaborated during workshops and also had a dialogue with our contact at Boverket. Through our new knowledge, we have begun to develop innovative available solutions with the users. In the future we want to test these in our reality lab.
