Important results from the project
The overall objective has been to "demonstrate the potential and possibilities of IoT technology for developing teaching and learning, as well as to produce a concrete and scalable example of how IoT can be used to develop the school´s core business - teaching and learning". We have seen the potential of IoT technology as a tool for teachers to develop their teaching through reflection on their movement patterns. We have developed a pedagogical method support that supports teachers in their collegial developement work, as well as two technical solutions. Both are useful for this aim.
Expected long term effects
Expected effects in the long term have been to raise students´ results by teachers are made aware of how they use the classroom. (By using IoT). We don´t see the outcome of that yet, because a longer time span is needed to be able to determine the effect, but we are positive and hopeful. In the short term, the expected effects have been that teachers reflect on how their movement patterns affect the students. There we see clear signs of achieved effect. Teachers say, for ex: "Why do I always stand at the front when I have a review?" "You can put this objective filter on a more subjective perception."
