Purpose and goal
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Future regional cargo airports must transition to becoming autonomous to enable high cost-effective activities. Although the future autonomous airport involves minimal human operations management, human operators and airport staff will still be needed to enable oversight and adjustments of overall operations in the face of unexpected or changing priorities. The result will provide a set of experimentally validated guidelines, which can be used in the design of the future autonomous airport.
Expected effects and result
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project focuses on integrating people into an operating system consisting of autonomous systems that make up a highly efficient automated airport. This integration must be implemented in such a way that human operators interact in a human-centric manner using understandable instructions. This creates transparency through appropriate state visualization for full situational awareness, automated reconfiguration based on AI and ML techniques, and full-scale security protection for the autonomous operation.
Planned approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project is structured so that the needs owner provides a validation testbed at a regional airport to investigate human-system interaction. The academic partners will carry out the user studies with the other partners. This is done in a number of work packages that integrate competence in AI, visualization with human-system interaction.
